Background
I developed a taste for craft beer while going to college for mechanical engineering. That taste grew into a passion and after school I decided to go into the brewing industry. I worked my way up from canning line grunt to leading the packaging department. When our inhouse canning line could no longer keep up with production we brought in mobile canners to bridge the gap. I quickly learned that not all mobile canners are created equal and that most couldn’t live up to my quality standards. Counter-pressure filling and stainless-steel components really separated the wheat from the chaff.
After that brewery I took to the road, working for a mobile canner that shared my view on quality standards. In that role I learned a lot about craft beverages outside of beer. I got to work with wine, cider, cocktails, seltzer, and more. Working with different producers and a variety of beverage types only solidified my beliefs that counter-pressure filling and stainless-steel components are a requirement for quality beverage production.
Next I started my own mobile canning company to bring these lessons to my home state of Colorado. With the experience that can only be learned on the cellar floor, the equipment worthy of quality product, and a passion for excellence I’m pleased to be canning for and building lasting relationships with local craft beverage producers. In my free time I like to pack into the backcountry with my dogs, some friends, and my mule/mascot, “Rain.”
